Erik Daniel Walton was a handsome star athlete, intelligent student, passionate music lover, an excellent actor, and a worldwide traveler, but above everything else, he will be remembered as a fiercely loving son, brother, and friend.
Erik was full of charm, wit, and humor, he truly was the life of the party. He was also an incredibly thoughtful person, always sympathetic and endearing to the people who knew him. He brought a certain feeling of comfort and stability to the room, and that feeling will be missed immensely.
Whether he was doing a karaoke duet to make a party vibrantly alive, or being pulled into a warm embrace, Erik was the kind of person to put other people’s needs in front of his own. People were attracted to him like a magnet because of all these qualities that drew them in.
As a world traveler, Erik lived in 5 different countries (USA, Kenya, Germany, Malawi, China) in 4 different continents (North America, Africa, Europe, and Asia), and went to 6 different schools (St. Catherine, Rosslyn Academy, St. James, Berlin-Brandenburg International School, Bishop-Mackenzie International School, and Western Academy of Beijing). In each place he settled into, he has always surrounded himself in a large group of friends, and recently in China, he found one of his closest friends. It’s truly amazing how many people were able to know this incredible soul.
Erik’s family will miss him beyond measure which include his father, Christopher, his sisters, Danaan, Brenna, and Gwendolyn, the family dog, Lucky, and grandmother, Nancy. We hope he has found peace with his mother whom he loved dearly, Stephanie, who passed in 2011.
May you rest in peace dear Erik, you will be missed immensely.
